California Western Railroad (reporting marks CWR) is a Class III Common Carrier offering freight service between Fort Bragg and Willits, California.

Commodities, goods, and supplies can be carried between Fort Bragg and Willits by rail and to intermediate stations along the route.

Mendocino Railway / California Western Railroad operates 40-miles between the coastal community of Fort Bragg, CA and the inland community of Willits, CA.

Work near the railroad’s property may require a right-of-entry permit / agreement. Work on the railroad’s property, if granted, will require a right-of-entry permit / agreement. Please contact the railroad as a part of your planning process.

Requests for work should be submitted no less than four weeks prior to the start of work and as far out as possible.
