Mendocino Coast Model Railroad & Historical Society
The Mendocino Coast Model Railroad and Historical Society has created a living history of the Redwood Empire’s loggers and railroads in Fort Bragg and beyond.
Our larger G Scale (G for Garden) model railroad layouts and dioramas illustrate the history of the Redwood Coast. Take your time to meander through our indoor and outdoor displays. You will learn how the fearless and industrious men and women of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries lived and thrived on the Mendocino Coast. Illustrating modes of transportation on land and sea from Gualala to Westport, our members have meticulously modeled the bustling activity of the industries along our coast between 1850’s and 1940’s.
