This May, an all-new thrill storms into Willits. Meet the Railcoaster, a high-energy ride that turns the tracks into your playground!
Glide with electric assist across elevated terrain, power down steep grades, and surge through a historic tunnel before rolling into a stunning redwood vista made for catching your breath. This nearly 15-mile roundtrip journey unfolds over multiple hours of pure exploration and yes, a picnic lunch is included to fuel the fun.
Limited departures are available Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting this Spring. We anticipate launching on May 16, 2026.
One bike seats two people.
There is no discount for single riders.
This adventure departs from Willits!
All passengers are required to fill out a Railbike participant release of liability and assumption of risk agreement prior to receiving their boarding passes. Riders should be capable of bicycling recumbently for 30 minutes at low exertion.
Trains and Railbikes run rain or shine. Always dress appropriately. Railbike riders – you will get wet, so unleash your inner child, it’s fun!
- You must arrive at the depot at your scheduled arrival time.
- Single Riders must be at least 16 years of age.
- All seated passengers must be at least 3+ years old – No lap seating allowed. Children under the age of 3 must be in a front-facing carrier or use their car seat.
- Maximum weight is 250 pounds (per rider).
- Casual sports attire is suggested.
- Close toed shoes are required.
- Helmets are required, you may bring your own or a sanitized helmet will be provided to you.
- Please bring water.
